सन् 1918 ईश्वी में वर्तमान में पश्चिम बंगाल के जलपाईगुड़ी में श्रीमान नथमल जी शाह के घर एक पुण्य आत्मा ने जन्म लिया जिसको सभी प्यार से चाँदकंवर के नाम से पुकारते थे। धार्मिक वातावरण में पली बढ़ी इस बालिका का विवाह दिनाजपुर ( वर्तमान में बंगलादेश ) के सेठ सहंसकरण जी के तृतीय पुत्र श्री सोहनलाल जी दुगड़ के साथ सम्पन्न हुआ । वे तेरापंथ धर्मसंघ में दिक्षित साध्वी साधना श्री जी कि संसार पक्षिया देवराणी थी ।
